They want to engineer a better world – saving lives, preventing disease, protecting our planet, shaping the future. At Western Michigan University’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, we prepare career-ready graduates for the global marketplace. Our students are critical thinkers and creative problem solvers.We offer 14 undergraduate engineering, technology and applied sciences degree programs. We have 11 master’s degree programs – most which can be earned in just one additional year through our accelerated master’s program -- and seven doctoral programs.Come tour our state-of-the-art building. Our Parkview campus is one of a kind, with 75 undergraduate and graduate laboratories and more than 20 multimedia state-of-the-art classrooms. We share space in the Business Technology and Research Park at WMU’s Parkview Campus with 44 companies in engineering, technology and life sciences.Our doors are open and we would love the chance to show you around. Western Michigan University provides many resources for students in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where we are committed to your success.Need tutoring help? The Student Success Centers at WMU are focused on providing free academic support in STEM-related courses for all CEAS students.The STEP Program helps students develop the academic skills and habits, life skills and connection to CEAS and WMU so you can successfully complete your studies and become engineers and applied scientists.The CEAS Advising Office is available for undergraduate students to get help with program planning, registration and much more.The Career and Student Employment office offers employment services, career fairs, career advising, campus employment, resume writing, cover letter assistance and job search strategies.The Student Projects Laboratory gives all WMU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences students a designated place to perform hands-on work for any WMU-related class project.The Computer Aided Engineering Center offers technology resources and is comprised of seven computer labs equipped with state-of-the-art technology and specific engineering software.Research Labs are available for conducting applied research including both graduate and undergraduate students as research assistants.Check out the scholarships available.Additional University resourcesThe Math Tutor Lab is available to assist students with a variety of mathematical subjects and assignments. The Financial Aid office publishes information about eligibility, awards, costs and other resources.Discover a variety of academic resources at the University Libraries including textbooks for students to check out.The Disability Services for Students office is available to make education accessible for all students regardless of need.
